THE SECOND POEM OF MINE

THE FOOTBALL BOY
People shouted with excitement,
Fostered players to get entertainment.
The players searched a way to score a goal.
Everyone fought to control the football.
People stopped and moved,
But fans ardently watched.

A small boy with a school bag,
Came to the ground in a lag.
He stood before the spectators in one end,
Moved his eyes all over the ground.
His name was unknown to his observers,
The love for the game revealed through his favorite stars.

He wrote the names of game changers,
On his bag with chalk pieces.
He stood ardently throughout the day
To enjoy the ecstasy produced by the play.
In the evening, he disappeared from the site,
But he might have enjoyed the sportive rite.

My First Published Poem: BELGAUM CITY LAKE IN NIGHT

                                                                              BELGAUM CITY LAKE IN  NIGHT
I felt that it is one among many
Before knowing  ‘its beauty is not tiny’.
Twice I visited to it in the sunlight
But I saw heaven in the electric light

It looks normal in the day,
Surrounds by the roadway,
Becomes decorated by electric light
And it mesmerizes in the night.

In the day, the sun cannot beautify it
But electric poles do after they be lit.
It seems, the poles touch the bottom apparently
And reveal the mark of thunderbolts clearly.

The liquid turns into golden color
And motors cause fluctuation on water.
The wind makes the surface to twinkle
And the glory works whole night to kindle.
